Wonder Park

This is a wonderful, colorful, imaginative story of a good girl named June who has a bright imagination.  She creates Wonderland where anything can happen. It is full of fun, creative rides, interactive friends, and WONDER!

June has a great life, full of love and support of her family and friends in her pursuit of adventure.  She has taken over her home with her model of Wonderland, a place in her imagination where all of her ideas come true.  With the help of her mother, she brings it alive in her heart.  When her mother falls ill, June abandons the park and dismantles the model, and she is unaware that her actions have affected the imagined park and the friends there. When she stumbles into the park in the woods and finds it in disrepair, she must rally her friends and herself to bring the park back to life.

This is a great story, it’s a little sad at the beginning but June and her friends Greta, a lovable warthog, and Boomer, the bear with hibernation sleepiness help her escape the Chimpan-Zombies (my favorite new word) to rescue Peanut, the magical sources of all the wonders of the park.  He’s a monkey who has used his marker, along with the whispered wishes of June,   to create this great place.  He has been  kidnapped and is hiding out.  He has not been getting the whispered wishes of June and her mother and doesn’t know what happened.  The group realizes Wonderland can be saved, get together and get it done!

This movie is fun and engaging, keeps you cheering for the group of friends, animals and people.  It’s a great way to show that you can do anything with the love and support around you.  Be yourself and open your heart and mind to your imagination and anything is possible.  Yes, go see it! You will leave smiling.  And watch out for the Chimpan-Zombies!
