Even with a circle of vivid effects all a round the production The Creator is like I Robot from 2018 with Will Smith The question in both films reaches to AI and here, is there a real daughter or is she somewhat cloned and what is the difference. The young girl (the focus of the film) has a speciality, she can control devices with gigantic World changing effects.
The special effects by Industrial Light and Magic are stunning and remarkable but the script is confusing and begins to drag after time. The integration of structures, vehicles, and the created individuals some looking more human than others quickly appear to be true beings who can equal or surpass humans in the script.
Joshua Taylor (John David Washington) a military sergeant with prosthetics (an arm and leg) is the father of Madeleine Yuna Voyles who performs beautifully as a small child and an artificial replacement who looks and speaks just as Taylor’s daughter did. She is also the daughter of Nirmata (the titular Creator.) Madeleine Yuna Voyles’s performance is remarkable and beautiful to watch.
While the story twines itself around itself and is somewhat confusing, the effects over ride the performances and the script with stunning and remarkable work from Industrial Light and Magic. The confusing story, after a while begins to drag, with action shots filling in for what could have been a gripping film experience.
