Ready to Rumble Ready to Rumble

Gordie (David Arquette) and Sean (Scott Caan) are a couple of goofy guys who eat, sleep and breath wrestling; with all of the popularity of this spectacle, so do a lot of others.

After their day job of cleaning portable potties, they head to a big wrestling match starring their hero, Jimmy "The King" (Oliver Platt).  But the King is beaten badly in a free for all set up by his manager Titus (Joe Pantoliano), who's tired of his client's drunken behavior.

Titus declares the King finished in the wrestling business and the King slips back home to lick his wounds and drink himself into a stupor.

The boys decide to make restoring the King to his old fighting self their mission in life.  But when they track him down, they find that he's passed out in his parents mobile home, a washed up, defeated man.

Gordie and Sean take King to an old wrestler (Martin Landau) to whip him into shape for a big steel cage re-match so he can win back his title.

Accompanied by a 15 year old boy who is a huge fan of wrestling, I was made aware of all the "awesome" real life wrestling stars that kept popping up on screen.  Goldberg, "Sting", and Diamond Dallas Page, not to mention, Michael Buffer, who's well known "Let's get ready to rumble" is bellowed before wrestling matches.

Teenage boys will especially like the rough and tumble matches and even though I know it's not real, I still marvel at the brutal falls these big guys take.  I must admit, I had a few laughs at their silly antics.
