Gone in the Night

A couple of curveballs are delivered from director Eli Horowitz in this mystery starring Winona Ryder.

She’s back on the big-screen opposite the likes of John Gallagher Jr. Brianne Tju, Owen Teague, and Dermot Mulroney as Kathy whose younger beau Mx (Gallagher Jr.) goes missing.  When a weekend getaway in the cabin in the woods gets a bit complicated.

As this ‘thriller’ unfolds it doesn’t really provide a genuinely cree[y, involving experience.  Even if it does at times play to some of the strengths of Ryder (now in her 50s) and Mulroney as a renter who can help Kath’s dilemma.
