
Two charismatic young actors play a real life couple, who while preparing to get married discover that the man has liver cancer.
Harry Shum, Jr (Glee) plays Solomon Chau, a digital marketer and inspiring chef and Jessica Rothe plays Jennifer Carter, a college student.
Their relationship evolves quickly. From a cute flirtation in a sports bar, to Sol moving in with Jen so he can save money in order to pursue his love of cooking — their whole love affair is on a fast track.
Following a cute proposal that takes place in their favorite park surrounded by friends, they Immediately begin planning their dream wedding. But Sol’s diagnosis and treatment has the couple settling on an inexpensive dress and a reception in a dingy outdoor space behind a restaurant.
But, their friends won’t hear of such a thing, and raise money with raffles and a GoFundMe page so they can afford everything that they wanted.
Director Marc Meyers has his young, very attractive stars sharing many cute, touching moments however, the pain and suffering caused by Sol’s illness doesn’t seem to get enough time and attention.
