We've seen this story many times before, the ex-husband or wife who refuses to give up on their mate and goes a bit crazy when their ex moves on. its a movie of the week brought to the big screen starring Katherine Heigl as Tessa the ex, Rosario Dawson as Julia, the new wife and Geoff Stults as David, the guy they're fighting over.
Tessa is blond, beautiful and obsessively perfect. She brushes her hair until every strand is in place, and dresses impeccably. She also grooms her young daughter to speak, act and look just like her. She wants David back and sharing custody with him and his new wife drives her wild.
Julia moves into David's house after their marriage and does her best to be a caring step- mother. However Tessa interferes at every chance she gets. Stopping by the house unannounced, showing up at a private party at David's business and giving unwanted advice regarding rearing the child.
The whole situation is driving Julia up a wall, but the more she tries to stand up to Tessa, the more erratic and ultimately deadly she becomes.
Heigl does a pretty good job playing crazy. However, it isn't the acting that's the problem here, its the storyline, which is stale and very predictable.
