George Lucas is showing his age with Strange Magic. It has all the earmarks of a screenplay written in the 1970s. Lucas' bizarre rendition of A Midsummer Night's Dream falls flat on its face. This film is virtually all style and no substance. If this is supposed to be a kids movie, I'm wondering how many kids will actually enjoy it. Hollywood is so busy bombarding us with the latest CGI, that they forget to give us a meaningful narrative. Naming the film Strange Magic after the 1975 song by Electric Light Orchestra was the first clue it was going to be awful. I was correct, George Lucas is stuck in the 1970s.
