The title might put you off a bit, but don't let this entertaining film pass you by.
It's about four 16 year-old life-long friends who go their separate ways for summer vacation. Newcomer Blake Lively plays Bridget, who goes to Mexico for soccer training; Lena (Alexis Bledel) is off to Greece to visit her grandparents (after seeing this picture postcard view of Greece, I want to vacation there myself); Carmen (America Ferrera) travels to visit her father, who's been absent most of her life; and Tibby (Amber Tamblyn) who stays home to work at a local Walmart-type store.
Before they take off, a pair of jeans is discovered which magically fits them all perfectly, even though they have very different shapes and sizes. A pact is made that one takes the pants and then mails the pants to the next one until each girl wears the jeans during the summer.
Each girl has to deal with events that make an impact on their young life. Whether it's falling in love for the first time, facing a tragedy, or coming to terms with a selfish parent, it is all handled with charm and honest feelings.
The story will appeal best to females, but with the wide range of problems: death, divorce and young love, it is relevant to everyone.
These talented actresses moved me, made me smile and entertained more than I expected they would.
