Serving Sara

Serving Sara

Serving Sara is a film about a process server trading sides and attempting to serve papers on the parties that actually hired them first.  Starring Matthew Perry of "Friends" fame, and Elizabeth Hurley of spectacular body fame, this film has a great combination of beauty and beast.

Now that I've said all the good things I can possibly think of for this film, let's get down to the point.  This film is not original, not scripted well and you'd have a better chance of getting light out of a black hole than a laugh from it.  Perry's character of Joe Tyler is like watching Al Gore on valium (if you can visualize that!) and Hurley plays the trophy wife and sex vixen Sara Moore.  Tyler is to serve Moore divorce papers and ends up teaming up with his intended victim to serve her husband for the tidy sum of one million dollars.

There is no humor here and I am disappointed to say not even a glimpse of Hurley's breasts.  The only thing that keeps your attention to the screen is the little school girl dress and tiny T-shirt she wears.  Alas, it is not enough to save this one.

Director Reginald Hudlin should be taken out and reeducated for this film.  His previous films of House Party and The Great White Hype were at least watchable; Serving Sara is just pure garbage.

Avoid this one, even on video and as always keep the popcorn warm, the soda cold and look for me in the back row three seats in.
