The perfect title for a film that sabotages itself throughout. Any surprise that Schwarzenegger mumbles his way through another stiff, forgetful performance? 'I'm not really a Cyborg, but I play one in the movies'.
Arnold resembles a marble statue come to life, and his heavy German accent is a continuous distraction. It's really difficult taking him seriously. Arnold's become a cigar chomping third-rate caricature of himself. Even his haircut looks ridiculous.
Collectively, nothing makes any logical sense. The screenplay is jumbled and confusing. Attempting to figure out this convoluted plot, is an extreme exercise in futility.
The supporting actors throw Schwarzenegger's muted character to the sidelines. Mireille Enos, Olivia Williams, Sam Worthington, and Joe Manganiello are the real stars of Sabotage. They all deliver solid performances. Yet, even they can't save this ridiculous movie from being a complete and total disaster.
