Disney's kid friendly adventure is loosely based on the 1975 film Escape To Witch Mountain staring Eddie Albert.

Former wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson plays Las Vegas taxi driver Jack Bruno. Two alien teens, Seth (Alexander Ludwig) and Sara (Annasophia Robb) sneak into the back of his cab in order to hide from government agents.

In their attempt to get back to their space ship which the government is holding at Witch Mountain , they encounter a large fire throwing alien, federal agents who are determined to capture them for lab experiments and a bunch of strange characters attending a Las Vegas Science Fiction convention.

Directed by Andy Ficklman, who also did Johnson's The Game Plan, he places enough special effects and action to keep most kids engaged.

The two kids are cute and Johnson, who never seems to take himself too seriously, is very believable as the tough guy with a soft heart and a sense of humor.
