Teenagers are constantly told this is the best time of your life. If the average teen life is the best, no wander young people don't want to go on. Adolescents are only wonderful to an adult who has long passed it by and now has the experience but not the opportunity to truly enjoy it.

Christian Slater plays the role of rebel with an FM radio transmitter as James Dean played Rebel Without a Cause in the mid-fifties. Through the use of obscenities and anecdotes he becomes the teen answer to Larry King, and thus develops a loyal following among his peers. All adults are treated badly and that diminishes the creditability of the film but the loneliness and insecurity of adolescents is framed well The problem is that no solutions are offered and the film has no ending. This film will be enjoyed by a young audience.
