Harrison Ford, under the direction of Alan J. Pakula, hold the audience at attention from the first frame. With a well-written script from Scott Turow's book, the suspense builds until the resolution in the final scene. The killer, who should be obvious from the beginning, is masked from sight by a trial, political history and corruption. Hitchcock would be pleased with this material.
