Like an extremely dull pencil, Point Break (2015), is "POINTLESS" !! This never ending compulsion with Hollywood 're-makes' is getting tired. How about giving the film going public some originality once in a while. Technically cool and dangerous action stunts cannot replicate a particular mindset that existed in the 'REAL' 1991 Point Break featuring Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves, which is now a cult classic.
Directed by Kathryn Bigelow, the film worked successfully on multiple levels. This new version is empty and one-dimensional. It never really gets to the core of the characters, and much of the interplay feels contrived. If one enjoys travelogues, risky stunt-man behavior, and phony machismo, than this 2015 cheesier version of 'Point Break' is your kinda' movie.
