A new animated feature by Hana Barbera deals with the importance of saving our environment.
Cornelius the Badger (voice by Michael Crawford) is a professor who teaches the little "furlings" about the wonders of the forest.
When one of the little female furlings is hurt when poisonous gas seeps into her house, Cornelius has the rest of the little creatures look for healing herbs to help cure her.
They have an adventure by making an airplane that has trouble landing and out running a flood while on their mission.
The drawings are good, the little animals are cute and the songs are memorable, especially the voice of Crawford who played the Phantom in Broadway's Phantom of the Opera and has a marvelous voice.
The message is somewhat dark and a couple of the animals are killed so it could be upsetting to very young children, but the rest of the film is a learning experience along with some fun.
