Espionage! Good old fashioned spy stuff with action, shooting and tons of great gadgets! This outing for Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol didn't really spark anything when I heard about it but after I saw it I was very impressed that they managed to make something that has basically been done to death a little exciting.

Tom Cruise is finally doing roles and looking age appropriate in this movie, doing more of the "thinking" and less of the "working" on this mission even though he does a few dangerous stunts that will leave you gasping. He has a great team with him, especially Paula Patton who fit well in this role along with that dress! She sure didn't let a tight, light blue colored dress stop her when she really had to fight the bad guy (or girl) in more than one exciting scene. Cruise as Ethan Hawke allowed the other actors to shine and the chemistry seemed to work.

It was a well rounded story, with bombs and nuclear weapons, exciting and scenic locations tall buildings unbelievable weather events. The bombing of the Kremlin was very dramatic, the possibilities with computer added action are unlimited; first the Kremlin, then what? The fact that the team was left out in the cold without any government backup lent to the premise that they were out on their own and had to work together to complete the mission.

All the actors proved themselves, Simon Pegg as Benji, the comic relief, is great, seemingly bumbling but coming through when it calls for it, Jeremy Renner is great, the scenes where he risks his life to complete his terror attack, literally, are exciting to watch. Overall, it was a better than average spy movie, very enjoyable to watch. The uncredited cameos by Ving Rhames from the old team and Michelle Monaghan as the "dead" wife (spoiler alert) left the door WIDE open for another movie, but we'll have to see about that.

This is definitely worth the price of a ticket, be sure to see it in IMAX to get the full effect of the high buildings and the scenery, and don't forget to munch out with the popcorn!
