Looney Tunes: Back in Action
Looney Tunes
Starring Brendan Fraser, Jenna Elfman, Steve Martin, Timothy Dalton, Joe Alaskey, Heather Locklear

Live action and animation are nicely blended in this new Brendan Fraser comedy.

Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny work for Warner Brothers, and Daffy isn't happy that Bugs is getting a bigger salary for their up-coming film. He takes his case to Kate (Jenna Elfman), the studio V.P., but when she refuses his pleas, he starts ranting in pure Daffy form. So, she calls on security guard, D.J. Drake (Fraser) to throw Daffy off the lot.

The action goes on to Las Vegas and Paris and it includes a whole roster of other Warner Brothers cartoon characters. Elmer Fudd, Tweety Bird, Grannie, Sylvester, Speedy Gonzales, The Tasmanian Devil, The Road Runner and even The ACME corporation. We are also treated to Robby The Robot, The Monster from This Island Earth, and Kevin McCarthy from the original Body Snatchers.

Steve Martin also shows up as the almost unrecognizable evil head of the ACME Corporation who plans to turn all humans into monkeys.

Fraser, with his rubbery, expressive face, is perfect to play opposite the Looney Tunes and Elfman who is also effective as the second banana.

There aren't a lot of out-loud, big laughs, but there are enough smart little ones strung together to offer a good time.
