Kevin Hart is funny! I liked the setup of this special, Hart was posing as a James Bond-like spy, with the beautiful girl and the sinister villain. It was kind of like Kevin Hart's dream where he is super funny AND he gets the girl.
Kevin has come a long way, he has always been funny, I think so anyway, and now with his movie career, comedy specials and TV shows, he's all over the place in a good way. He has avoided the over saturation factor so far and has enjoyed success as evident here in his live performance in a sold-out football stadium.
There are many things going for Kevin here. His comedic delivery is sharp, I like his pacing and his setup, he knows when to pause and when to go forward for laughs. He does use profanity liberally, but it does seem to be appropriate to the joke. I personally don't like the n word, which he used quite a lot, but his material is timely and in step with the times.
Kevin uses his family and friends, and his life experiences for great material. It was great to see a TON of folks, all shapes and sizes, races and ages at his concert. I laughed a lot during the hour long special. Kevin Hart's funny and personable, someone you might like to know. He seems like he could be the friend of a friend that you just happened to find yourself sitting next to at the club and turns out you had an enjoyable evening.
