It's that time, finally, for all of the superheroes to unite! I liked this one, it was full of girl power, action and great storylines to keep you engaged. You actually care what happens to each one of the characters. And of course, there is a little snippet after the movie showing the next step in the saga bringing it all full circle.
This was Wonder Woman's chance to shine. Gal Gadot IS Wonder Woman, visibly portraying the strength of character and the fitness to be a super hero. The Flash, Cyborg, Batman, Superman and with Aqua-Man, played like a rock star by Jason Momoa, form a fantastic team in this action-packed romp called the Justice League. It was full of back story and character set up, showing each of the characters quirks and special gifts, setting it up for the grand face-off between good and evil.
So, of course, they bring Superman back to life, a little gruesomely, and not one person asked how or WHY it was done. Well, we know why and we are glad. They just embraced him and send him on his way to fight and wreck havoc against the bad guys. He looked amazingly good for a dug-up corpse and even kissed Lois Lane. I just hope he brushed his teeth first.
Steppenwolf – super crazy bad guy, scary and destructive, stomping through the world breaking things with a great musical score. And those minions! Ugh! They always make it seem like it's the end of the world but our superheroes hold their own and defeat these ugly creatures. Of course, we give them a chance to regroup and get ready for the next onslaught but we will be ready.
This has great action, story and heart and well worth the wait. It took a long journey to get here but it will be satisfying to see all of the super heroes come together! I can't wait. It's worth sitting in a crowded theater with your snack to watch it with a group, it will be exciting!
