Two orphaned kids, 16 year-old Andi, played by Emma Roberts and a brother Bruce (Jake T. Austin) have been shuffled from foster home to foster home ever since their parents died.

Their latest guardians are the worst of the worst of the bunch with rocker-wannabe's, played by Lisa Kudrow and Kevin Dillon. A mean couple who only care about the money they get from the state.

The kids start rescueing stray dogs who, like them, need someone to love and make a warm home. An old rundown hotel that some dogs have taken over on their own becomes a hotel for the dogs that Andi and Bruce and some friends round up as they fix up the hotel to make it comfortable for the new found four-leg friends.

Don Cheadle co-stars in this comedy that unless you're under eight years old, or go gaga over dogs, isn't for you.
