Home is quite like other cute alien film we have seen in the past.  He is a more like the good side of Stitch, and the plot which must resolve the problems of Oh's (Jim Parsons) enemies revolves around what was Orion's Belt in Men in Black.

Jim Parsons (Sheldon-in The Big Bang Theory) voices Oh who is a character with some of the quirks of Sheldon.  He is dramatic, clear and he has been indoctrinated by his species to follow the universal Boov line of thinking.  The Boov lead by Captain Smek (Steve Martin) are searching for a new planet to escape to where they can hide from incoming alien enemies.

Some of the script speaks to how to confront a bully either run or stand, but in the end Oh figures out the alien motivation and as we would expect resolves the problem.

But the Boov are in the business of taking over a planet and and relocating the inhabitants, in this case the Earth, by sucking up the humans into a space craft and resettling them all in Australia.

Gratuty "Tip" Tucci (Rihanna) has avoided the round up but not her mom.  Tip along with her cat, Pig allude the invaders.  Oh finds and befriends her and create a flying craft out of her compact car.  She is motivated to find her mother (Jennifer Lopez) and Oh can help with that, but he mistakenly sends a message through out the Universe which can be received by the alien enemies. The message will provide a map to exactly where the Boov are located.

The result of the message makes Oh unworthy per order of Captain Snek.  Oh, the cat and Tip must avoid capture throughout a wild race around the globe to save: the Earth, save the Boov and to find Tip's mother.

Filled with action we see the Eiffel tower turned up side down and fuel for the new vehicle coming from smoothies, especially lemon.  All the action is filled with various colors which appeal to the younger action crowd. Oh him self changes color with his emotions and he learns in the end that family loyalty is important even if its for the cat.
