Another new addition to the mediocre films list of 2014.
After the defeat of Smaug, a king's ransom of gold now exists for everyone to share. A unique opportunity to rebuild all that had been previously destroyed.
Instead we all get another big screen video game where five armies battle it out for total control. Apparently sharing the gold is a foreign concept in 'middle earth'.
Battle after meaningless battle continue virtually non-stop to the point of serious boredom. If it wasn't for all of the incessant loudness, I might have just fallen asleep. A tedious script dependent on special effects and no real substance.
The best part of The Hobbit was the ending. I could finally escape to the exit as quickly as possible.
