God's Not Dead 2 is a pure propaganda film for folks who enjoy faith based films.
Melissa Joan Hart (Sabrina the Teenage Witch - on TV) is the dedicated Christian teacher who is caught up in an improbable situation in which she is fired for referring to Jesus in her classroom. Her actions are clearly not a violation of anything, she refers to Christ and Martin Luther King as historical figures who challenge authority and stand for similar beliefs. Nothing in that or even quoting the bible as literature is a problem, but in this film designed to rev up Christians she faces losing her job and court action from a student's parents.
Robin Givens who was once married to Mike Tyson is the school principal, and Ray Wise who played a dark character, Leland Palmer in Twin Peaks is the evil lawyer for the folks who are against the very nice teacher who did nothing wrong.
Pat Boone who looks much older is the elderly father of the teacher plays his part supporting her quite well.
But the film which runs over two hours is filled with execrated scenes and extraneous situations which are not necessary to the plot.
This could have been a half hour TV program with a much better more real script, in which the balance between freedom of religion and freedom to promote religion are discussed in a dramatic or even comical way.
This film is worthy cinema only if you are committed to the propaganda in the film
