Fly Me to the Moon is an animated feature which takes us back to the cold war and the space race to the Moon.

Three restless young flies with the urging of their grandfather (voice of Christopher Lloyd) who flew with Amelia Earhart seek to join the Apollo program and become the first flies on the Moon. As expected moms are frightened to see their little flies take such a gamble. Their little maggot siblings however are very supportive.

The Russian flies work to destroy the mission and stop the American flies from receiving the glory of being first on the Moon.

Filled with cute little situations and language and bolstered with 3D projection, yes glasses are needed, the film is easy to watch. The 3D animation in space depicting the Apollo Space Ship is very effective as are the scenes from the Moon looking back at the Earth.

Little ones will enjoy this best, for adults it pleasant, easy entertainment.
