Dude, Where's My Car

Dude, Where's My Car

In an attempt to duplicate his success with Dumb and Dumber, director Danny Leiner tries to deliver to a much younger crowd with Dude, Where’s My Car.  The only advice I can give is to avoid this film at all costs!

Not only is this film dumb, it is horrible.  There as reasons that film studios don’t show screenings of films like this - they know it would get killed in review.  The two “stars” of this film, Ashton Kutcher (Fox’s That 70’s Show) and Seann William Scott just don’t have the talent to carry a film, much less one with a lousy script.

In short, the film revolves around two twenty something brain wasted stoners that wake up to a tale of what they did the night before.  The tale includes having money to burn, getting a sexy Christy Boner - nice name - played by Kristy Swanson to remove her top, treating an entire police department to doughnuts, destroying their girlfriend's house and having a cult chasing them for their knowledge - yes knowledge - go figure.  There are a couple of moments of humor like an Abbott and Costello “Who’s On First” rip off that has to do with tattoos and a bit with an ostrich.  With those two exceptions, this is 85 minutes of complete trash.

If you do decide that you have to see this film, bring a pillow, a personal stereo or a book as the screen has nothing to offer.
