Hitman Chev Chelics, played by Jason Statham, survives a death-defying fall that ended the original film Crank. But, that seems to be just the beginning of his extreme problems.
He's kidnapped right off of the street where he lands, no less, by a bunch of Chinese thugs. They bring him to a place where they have his heart transplanted into their leader's (David Carradine) body. And in return, Chev has a mechanically, battery-charged heart that needs constant jolts to keep him alive.
He spends the rest of the film trying to get his heart back.
If it isn't lewd, sadistic or gross, the scene doesn't make it on screen. The women, played by Amy Smart and Bai Ling are strippers or prostitutes and the men are tattooed, abusive, and mostly evil. The fight scenes are over the top and bloody and the chase scenes are exciting, but usually end with someone being beaten to a pulp.
Directed and written by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, Crank 2 has a lot of action, but most of it is not worth watching.
