Four Jamaican athletes, Leon (Derice Bannock), Sanka Coffie (Doug E. Doug), Yul Brenner (Malik Yoba), and Junior Bevil (Rawle D. Lewis) decide after failing to make the Olympic track team to create the first Jamaican bobsled team. Based on a true story, the four young men battle the weather and prejudice from the other seasoned teams and qualify to compete in the Olympics.

John Candy is added as a former bobsledded who is talked into training the team. He adds comedy and emotional motivation to the team and helps with the Jamaican pride which is developed as the four become the talk of Jamaica and the Winter Olympics.

This is a very simple story with mot much to it but the audience, particularly the kids, appeared to have a good time watching.
