Walt Disney Studios' new film is the first foray into a completely computer animated feature. Although, we all remember the old children's story of "Chicken Little", it's been reworked a bit.
Voiced by "Scrubs" (Zach Braff), Chicken Little has a big round head covered with fluffy yellow feathers and wears round green glasses (which become 3D glasses in selected locations). When he's hit on the head with what everyone else thinks is an acorn, he believes the sky is falling.
After a second conk on the head, he gets his friends, Ugly Duckling Abby, voiced by Joan Cusack and piglet Runt of the Litter, voiced by Steve Zahn, to help him check it out.
The little guy can be quite resourceful when he wants to be, as he shows when his foot gets stuck on a piece of gum in the middle of a busy street.
Garry Marshall voices Little's dad and although he doesn't believe his son at first, he does have a sweet relationship with him.
The small underdog is engaging and with some popular songs and a few movie references thrown in to amuse the adults, Disney has produced an entertaining comedy. Not on par with Shrek, but the two seven year olds that accompanied me had a great time.
