Absurd and redundant describes a tortuous The Boss featuring Melissa McCarthy. Once again, capitalizing on her 'BIG' name - McCarthy pumps out another paint-by-numbers comedy, which should have been a direct to DVD endeavor.
Her films rely so much on physical humor, that some scenes could be interchanged with those from other previous movies. McCarthy is in danger of becoming a 'One Trick Pony' female version of John Belushi verging on the downslide, or worst yet, Chris Farley.
When there are more laughs in a Mike and Molly television episode, it's time for Melissa McCarthy to step back, and re-evaluate her potentially fading career. The Boss is a stinker only Pepé Le Pew would find Odor-able.
