Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2

Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2

Fool me once shame on you; fool me twice shame on me.  Book Of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 is presented differently than the first, but both take advantage and provide little entertainment.

Early on we receive a clue that the only reality is what we see on video tape.  That amounts to about ten minutes of the 90 minute film.  Ten minutes is about all this trash heap deserves.

Director Joe Berlinger brings us into the woods with four young people who are experiencing the Blair Witch tour with Jeff Patterson (Jeff Donovan).  The idea is to spend the night in the woods right where the fake Blair Witch murders took place.  They all fall asleep and the video tapes of the sleep time are skipped, as their camera records the night.  We learn more of the hidden events over time as the six who slept through horrors begin to remember and learn how to reverse the video tape to reveal the naked woman who cavorts over the death scene.

The four young performers Kim Director, Tristen Skyler, Stephen Barker Turner and Erica Leerhsen will probably receive exposure for this film, but it will do little for the quality of their resumes.

Early on we hear the sheriff yelling at crowds saying get out of the woods, "There is no f------ Blair Witch."  To bad that isn't true for Blair Witch 2.
