The three bad moms find themselves in some hilarious moments particularly when Kathryn Hahn's Carla exposes her work in a salon where she is the chief waxer. The addition of mom's mothers brings a new dimension to the story. Each mom's mother is unique in themselves and add to the pressure on the mom's to bring off an enjoyable, special Christmas.
Christine Baranski is the mom who expects her daughter to be perfect and when Amy (Mia Kunis) her daughter doesn't live up to her expectations she takes over the household and the celebration. Isis (Susan Sarandon) Carla's mom (Kathryn Hahn) has remained a flower child carrying on as she would have at Woodstock. Sandy (Cheryl Hines) is Kiki's (Kristen Bell) mother and she wants to be a sister not a mother.
Sandwiched between mothers, husbands, kids and other complication the three bad mom's head out to celebrate as loosely as they can.
The first half of the film is filled with stunts which force us to laugh, but the second half is about reconciliation and everyone begins to understand each other. The end is sappy. The Bad Moms are good only when they are bad.
